How to Reconcile Happiness and Change
Finding Inspiration
Happiness and change, finding inspiration? For the last 5 weeks we’ve explored How to Reconcile Happiness and Change.
During week 1 we talked about the inner aspects, during week 2 we talked about outer causes, for week 3 we focused on relationship impacts, week 4 was about mindset and during week 5 we covered obstacles and how to deal with them.
This week I am aiming to get you inspired to go after your happiness already even in the midst of change! Isn’t it about time?
Happiness and Change, Finding Inspiration, yes but how?
To begin with, please take your notebook or get one if you don’t have one for this.
And then take some notes about where you are at regarding your happiness in the midst of change.

If I think back to the last two years of my parents’ lives, there were unexpected events one after the other for months and months. Some of them seem less unexpected looking back but still.
I found myself coping with those changes quite well. What do I mean by that? Well, I mean that I took it all in stride, kept my wits about me and reacted in the best way that seemed possible at the time.
Fast forward a couple of years and 18 months of sanitary crisis, and I find myself a little less cool with all the changes, ups and downs, bait and switches…
Is there is such a thing as change-fatigue? Well, I’d really like to know what YOU think of that. Do you consider yourself a creature of habit or do you thrive on the unexpected, the spontaneous? Let’s talk about it!
I’ll start, while I find myself more and more able to embrace change, I do like to have routines in my days and weeks. In this blog article, I talk about my experience during a week of working silence, set to the rhythm of monastic life. When you are done reading this article, you can read that one here:

And now I invite you to write down some reflections around your relationship to routine and to change.
Happiness and Change, finding inspiration but what for ?
I love this quote and I do agree! My personal growth and development journey has greatly benefitted from having to deal with changes and challenges.
But I know it doesn’t feel like a gift when you’re in the middle of it!
Can you think of a change that has really challenged you and that you were able to benefit from, by growing through it? Please tell me about this in the comments, I’m interested and it will also encourage other readers who need to hear it.
Resisting change is one of the worst things we can do. Just like everything that is already there, it is not only totally pointless to resist but it is also an energy drain and a way to stay stuck. If you are one to resist, don’t worry, it’s just time for you to learn to do that less! DM me if you want my help with that.
So which are YOU going to choose? Growing or staying stuck? Take a few notes in your notebook about this.
